To blog or not to blog, that is the question
Posted On: 08/04/2007 08:01:32

"Blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries"

I've found that many people just paste and copy stuff to their blog (including me once) and found myself clicking it and not even read it anymore, what I kind of expected to read in the blogs here would be more personal stuff, or like the explanation above says "personal online diaries", make it more personal people and it will be more interesting to read.

Don't know what the general opinion on this one is but if I want to read the news I'll go to CNN or ScubaHerald or other news information sites, make comments on the news or events going, don't just copy/paste them. The online jokes could be put in the forum.
What do you guys think? No hard feeling to anyone

Yep Mr Level, t It me, Plonske.

Strange here , everybody agree with Mr Level, even me.

In the beginning a few weeks ago I wrote my bloggs self, one by one, it was fun. Writing good blogs is not easy and take a lot off time.

I looked at my other blogfriends in the competition, and find out they playing not fear!!!! I ve send a e mail to the moderator off this website, with questions and after a few minutes i ve my anwsers.

At that moment I feld me down but OK it is his decission and he is the owner, this are his rules.

So I started also to blogging as a fool, but this bogs are readable.

What about spamming the website, just the same, I learned from the others, they know who I mean.

They are the first people who complain.

I agree totally, MrL. Same goes for the quizzes. IMO the kind of
"power posting" that goes on with cut-and-paste simply cheapens the
whole site. At the very least, when a poster does this, s/he has an
obligation to credit the source and not pass the material off as
his/her own writing.

Regardless of whether DiveArea is free, any
content that can be shown to be stolen and not credited should be
removed by the mods.

I have to agree...    I too was guilty a time or two but I decided that to be fair.. my blogs would only be something "I" wrote and not just something to gain points...  for the record... the bulk of my points have been thanks to the chatter of my DiveArea friends!!    I only write about things that I am thinking or feeling... IF I read an article... I WILL TYPE my thoughts and not just paste the article   because it is MY blog!   Thanks MrLevel for saying what many people have been talking about but not blogging

haha lol, well yeah I like the way things are here, you can do virtually everything you want.
But no, it has nothing to do with the points for me, just had this idea to keep the quality of this site high and, well just an opinion of mine.

Don't own CNN yet... YET! Sure ScubaHerald is fun to read, and better updated then  CDNN

Fair point. the best way is to bookmark your favorite, and read the blogs of your friends.... Divearea is free and there are not set rules.... if the issue is points... for the contest... the points for blogging had changed and please chill... there are enough prizes for everyone. But deep inside I get your point, but in many cases people blog to keep a record so their friends can read info....

About your comments about CNN, or ScubaHerald... I don't own CNN yet, but I'm quite glad you like ScubaHerald.com
