Hello mate, it's Stuart from Scuba Addicts. Couldn't remember my personal login so I've created another profile under scuba-addicts-aonang.
Hope this message finds you in good health, still enjoying life and contemplating another season in sunny Ao Nang. You were a real breath of fresh air for the business last season, and that's no exaggeration, it would be great to have you back here.
I'm writing this from a cold, but slowly warming up, Finland, where I'll be with the family until the beginning of October. I'm straight back into running and working out and it definitely doesn't seem so hard this time around.
A few things of note happened just after you left and the big news is that we bought our own boat from a marine biologist friend of mine, which will be fantastic for next high season. Keith now has a work permit and is our shop manager, our website is shooting up the rankings (but still needs a lot of work) and we have a very good boat sharing setup with Railay Divers, as Poseidon inexpcliably pulled out of the contract. Scuba Addicts is still busy, even now as we approach low season and I've got a feeling that we will have a cracking off season.
Minttu has settled into her job of managing the Retretti Art Galley shop and exhibition and the little one has just turned 1 and a half today (29.04.08). Had a bit of a scare the other day as being a complete nutter she managed to fall off a slide and sustain a fairly deep gash just above her eyelid. She's alright now, just looks like she's been a few rounds with Mike Tyson.
So how are things with you, how's the lecturing work going and how's Fi's health and DM training coming along? Are you still running and keeping yourself fit and how's the leg holding up, getting stronger I hope. How's the diving been your side of the world, seen anything interesting?
Hey great to hear things are going great for you. While you're down there at Ao Nang, maybe I'll take the ferry over and dive with you for a day (do you have any days off? I don't but I can "manufacture" one I think.) Sure, things are picking up on Phuket, too. All of a sudden. One week it was quiet and the next it was busy. Water just turned blue too YAY!
Alas, I'm off on another one of my marathon trips (right now in Dubai waiting for a much delayed plane), but I've got a skeleton office with me and still can make my bookings and answer inquiries. I work mainly through pre-bookings, you see. When you see Stuart, ask him what happened with that chapter on Thailand diving he asked me about....
