My favorite spots are where ever water is, I equally enjoy diving the tropics or the cold murky Belgian waters :-) But the Red Sea would be one of my fav's, some of the best diving and fairly cheap compared to comparable (underwater)places around the world.

You should try diving the mountain lakes some time, an old Austrian instructor of mine said there where really nice ones over there, not sure which ones tho.
