Well the last few nights I have hit 3 dive sites 2 of which I have never dove before. Tuesday night I went to Octopus Hole. This is a great site but it definatly needs to be hit during the day so you have enough light for pictures. I have never tried UW photography so I have been playing with my friends camera just to see if I am any good. We will be hitting this site on Sunday so Hopefully I will have some Octo shots soon.
Wednesday night we hit a usual site for us called Les Davis. I have never seen a Ratfish and they were out in bulk that night. The camera died so I wont be putting any Pics up of that night.
Thursday night we hit a place that GIShawnee recomended called Titlow. She went with us and even though it was a shallow dive, no more than 30 feet, there were many fish to include a Sailfish Sculpin. I was happy to see 2 together and got a few good shots off for only using the camera 1 time before.
I will be posting the pictures as soon as I can. I will be unable to dive after Tuesday because I will be having my surgery that day and soon after I get cleared, Orsk will be leaving for a little bit for work stuff. I hope to dive more after I am good to go.
I am Finally Cleared to get back in the water! Well, For the time being that is. I am so HAPPY! It will be a wonderful day as soon as I can get my wrist seals fixed. Have to go buy new ones tonight then make sure they dry. BUT I AM GETTING BACK IN THE WATER!
My Nitrogen system is filling with blood. That might be a problem. Guess I will have to remidy that. HEHEHEHE
I was wondering how many of us have actually been in the chamber. I went after a combination of 2 dives that were both with instructors and even though I had exceptional dive plans and I had waited a few days I still ended up in the chamber for 3 hours and was stuck out of the water for 6 months. I am wondering if I should create a poll for this. Please let me know. The Dives were a boat dive on a Wednesday night 55 feet for 7 minutes. That sounds rough but I was diving with one of my instructors and we ended up with 2 guys who were on dive 5. They dropped and were underneath us and we were entrapped in their bubbles. We both realized we were shooting to the surface and began to dump calmly. POP. We were on the surface. Dive over for me. He went back down to drag them up because they were exceeding their limits and in the Narrows, You don't do that. The next day I went out with another instructor to a place I had never been before. Saltar's Point. We dove 97 feet for 40 minutes with a 5 minute safety stop at 15 feet. After the dive, I got in the bed of my truck and laid down because of the massive headache I got. The next day I went to work and threw up on my way home. I called in sick the next day and called DAN to see what they had to say. They told me to get some O2 and see how I felt. I ended up in the hospital and after 2 hours of fluids and O2, I unfortunately felt better. They had me scheduled the next day for the chamber. The worst 6 months of my life.
