Well.....made the leap from rainy UK to the tropical paradise of Thailand and enjoyed 6 months of sun...until now.
I'll tell you something, life can be boring when a monsoon comes. Our market for students over here is mainly independant travellers and they just don't visit when the sky is grey.
Still, there is a little work around...ran some rescue courses last week, one AOW course and starting a team-teach/assist on a DSAT Tech course tomorrow - at least the poor viz will make THAT course more interesting ha ha ha (evil laugh). I just love the 'stressy' look on people's faces when they first struggle into a twinset. Not quite as much fun as running an Open Water course for a gaggle of eager Scandanavian teenage girls, but still fun nonetheless.
So....life on an island in the rain...... Luckily, my island has a fairly decent infrastructure for it's size - so an afternoon in an italian coffeeshop using the free wireless connection means that I have the pleasure of browsing this fair site. Chain drinking strong Americano coffees isn't going to help with my stress awareness on the course tomorrow though....I promise that my next order will be for a fruit shake! It's amazing how being out of the water means that your facebook profile gets an overhaul and soon becomes confused with a myriad of downloaded superflous applications! LOL
Okay...so I'll be heading home shortly..not that my moped is any use given that the roads have been washed away to the lumpy bedrock. If I'm not on the site tomorrow, then you know the weather has improved.......
