I have had the oppurtunity to dive in Thailand (Phuket) and enjoyed it very much. Even in the few days I was there, you could sense the politics. But the diving was great and the divers were very good. It is obvious that fisherman are all over the reefs. On one dive there was a fisherboat sunk at 70 feet that had only been there 2 weeks according to the divemaster. No one knew whio owned it.
I have also spent a lot of time in Finland. Just about everywhere in teh country. I have always enjoyed Finland and the people there. The last time I was in Helsinki was in January.
hello diver, it's unofficial hammerhead blog weekend. if you have a hammerhead story lets hear it! we can vote for the best one on monday. who knows, maybe DA will pony up a prize!
Why not. It would be great! Better to come in spring time or autumn when visibility is ok-10-15m. Summer time it's sucks - max 5-7m. I am myself planning to go in Norway in October whith fy fellows. They say that there are some fantastic places to dive!
Sun or
rain, I smile pretty easily (feel right at home in the LOS). Low season
is a drag. I'm reduced to cleaning up my office and downloading new
boat schedules Well, haven't even done either of those properly yet. Mostly I dive
locally, with students. The trips out to Phi Phi are more expensive and
add to the overhead for teaching, but sometimes I can get in a
three-dive day for Advanced students out there. Once in a while
(whenever possible) I try to get students to do AOW at the Similans,
but it doesn't work all that often. What about you? Got much work this
low season?
