Mothers Day, What a Day!
Posted On 05/12/2008 13:51:30 by BJG_diving
Yesterday I went diving with my two daughters Kelley and Karie; what a day.  We dove Surpresa in the Gulf of Papagayo, Costa Rica.  Visibility was 70ft and the water was 83 degrees.  Eels were everywhere and lots of octopus poking their heads out.  We found a turtle munching on some algae, must have been realy good stuff because we saw him go up for air and while we did our saftey stop we saw him diving back down for more.  Pura Vida Bobbie Jo / Diving Safaris ... Unfortunately I didn't bring a camera with me, but it looks pretty much like the one you can find in the gallery of ..:: All West Curacao ::...

Ocean Encounters West do this dive every Friday morning, so maybe if one of you is on the island with h... Read More

Losing my best canine freind
Posted On 05/08/2008 08:06:03 by Tstormdiver
Sorry about the downer all, but I just need to talk about this. Just got some very bad news yesterday. My canine companion, Raven, of 4yrs has terminal Lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes). It has advanced enough that the vet sees no reason to do chemo (plus the nearest place to do it is 3-4 hrs away). To be honest,... I've already broken down a few times since getting the news. It all started about 5 weeks ago when she just wasn't acting right. I checked her over (I'm a former Vet Tech) & f... Read More
