Well so far this year the weather pretty much sucks, BIG TIME! I have just returned to work after 2 weeks summer vacation. Some vacation there were only 3 days in the last two weeks of July it didn't rain. We had two evening charters scheduled mid-week, both rained out! Well, I'm finally going to finish up my Adv. Nitrox & Deco Procedures course. I did the classroom & pool sessions once before about a year & a half ago. At that time I tried to go through the course in my recretional equipment & that proved to be completely NOT user friendly. I tried for almost 30 minutes to sling the stage bottle to my BC & never could do it (my instructor said he did have to give me credit for trying as long as I did). In my 27 years of teaching I've seen a few, let's call them "special" students. They come various varieties, and each with their own peculiarity. While reading the blogs & surveys I am reminded of a few of them. Here's one I'd like to share, I'll call him No-gloves. I live, work, dive & for 27 years taught diving in Ontario Canada. I just started my SSI OW Instructor course last week. Going to be lots of work for a while. I took the first of 4 mini- exams & scored a 95% (must get at least a 90%). I also completed a pre- test. Today I'm starting to write my own blog, yeahh...smile...I'm really happy to be here...and all because I will become a diver. After my last travel to Spain I deceided to start to learn to dive.
