Amazing Thailand

Well I began diving almost 3 1/2 years ago in Australia. I dont think I would have ever got into Diving had I not travelled to Australia where I took on a random job as a cook on a liveaboard on the Great Barrier Reef and was able to not only become certified, but also achieve DiveMaster Certification. From there, I was offered a chance to complete a NAUI instructor course in Catalina Island, California, where I achieved teaching status and taught at a children's camp. In May 07 I completed my PADI OWSI and moved to Thailand for 8 months in September 07 to work as a freelance instructor in Phuket. I'm currently back at Catalina Island finishing up my summer here and planning a dive work/travel trip for March 09!!!!

Hey C.  About your paperwork, I would say to put the guy in touch with Jeaw, especially if he's on-island. She does careful work, but it's important to keep on top of her about it. Very Thai. What document is it that's missing?

If you don't sell to the guy you have waiting, I have a couple more people who may be interested. How much are you asking?

hey Marcia! feels like it's been ages... how have you been? I'm back in california for the summer, with only 3 more weeks of teaching left at the kiddie camp. it's been going well. fantastic classes and the diving has been great, aside from the dam cold water!

how are things on your side of the world? Been to the states lately? I'm missing phuket just  a weeee bit!

well will be great to hear from you! hope you are well!

Wow, Carissa! Must be telepathy! I've been thinking of you, too! Are you thinking of coming back? Did you sell your business license?

Things are fine here. I had a week on Bonaire, teaching, and did some follow-up dives around the Caribbean (Belize, Honduras, Cayman) and then in the Sea of Cortez. Back in rainy-season Phuket with a gonna-be DM for the next couple of months--getting him ready for the IDC. But mainly I spend my time trying to line up business for the high season. You know how my business plan is different from most instructors here...

Anyway, cutie, do keep in touch!

Hugs, M.

Hi, how is the diving in Phuket at the moment? Just wanted to know if the weather from Burma has hit you guys down in Phuket?

Can I also ask was it easy to get some freelance work in Thailand?

Hey Canuck, great to hear from you. A manta ray??? Awesome. I bet it was a sight to see. I'm glad to see you're getting some work and some sun. I haven't seen the sun in about a week. It won't stop raining. It's just about 2 or 3 degrees too warm for snow so it's cold, damp and miserable but I got out diving last weekend with some friends and had a great time. It seems everything is well over there. Is the new job treating you well? Thanks for giving Qquero a hug for me. It really does mean a lot to me.

Hi Canuck, how are things treating you in Thailand? I hope all is well. Could you do me a small favour and give Qquerro a really big hug for me. We had a great conversation a few weeks ago and she really brightened my day. I haven't had a chance to chat with her since.

and my mate should be here tomorrow, the bummer is that he doesn't drink, i have to try and get him on or off the wagon (whichever one is the one that gets a beer in his hand hehehe... so evil)
