I have a Cochran Commander (off the internet) but it never worked properly. It was in metric (sorry to those who use metric, I'm just not very good at the translations). I got the program to try to change it to standard, but it said there was a corrupt file somewhere & I never could get it straightened out. So that computer is only a dust collector to me. I've been told that they are good mixed gas computers, so I had gotten it for an Adv. Nitrox class I'm in. To get to the different functions it's not what I would not consider it very user friendly. You have to wet the electrodes, hold a metal object over parts of it, purse your lips a certain way to get to the different functions. I now have a Dive Rite Duo (2 gas mix) computer. A little easier than the Cochran & what I need for the Adv, Nitrox class. Cochrans can also be set up for Trimix if that's the path you want to go. Like was said, you need to have an idea of where you want to go with your diving. I would like to eventually get to trimix diving, but that's a ways in the future.
